Lowbed trailer transport by containers

Did you know? Heavy-duty lowbed trailers can now be transported inside containers just like regular cargo! This innovative technology, through a standardized container loading process, allows special vehicles that previously could only be transported as bulk or roll-on/roll-off cargo to be shipped more safely and reliably.

A professional team first disassembles the components of the lowbed trailer and secures them according to the dimensions of the container. Using a hydraulic lifting platform, the lowbed trailer is adjusted to a horizontal state, and then placed into the container with the help of forklifts and cranes, tailored to the internal dimensions of the container. For securing, a "three-point lashing method" is employed: the front end is connected to the container corner fittings with high-strength nylon straps, the rear wheels are stabilized with adjustable sleepers and anti-slip rubber pads, and key stress points are reinforced with anti-collision cushioning materials. The entire process is like dressing the semi trailer in a custom protective suit, ensuring stability and no displacement throughout the transport.

A 40-foot container can accommodate one lowbed semi trailer. The entire process is monitored by an intelligent system that tracks the tilt and humidity of the container in real time, with automatic alerts for any abnormalities. During sea transport, the container can be directly hoisted onto a roll-on/roll-off ship, eliminating the need for port transshipment and improving transport efficiency by about 60%. For businesses, the cost and safety advantages are more direct. Compared to traditional road transport, the cost per vehicle is reduced by about 43%, and the transport loss rate drops from 0.8% to 0.15%. The container itself has moisture-proof and anti-corrosion properties, capable of withstanding sea salt spray erosion. The standardized operational procedures significantly enhance dock efficiency, reducing single-container handling time from 2 hours to 45 minutes.
